Signals as live
It reads the buffer on the first tick of a new candle and enters at that candle's open — the way you would really trade. No peeking into the future.
You enter the indicator's name and buffer number. RBR Indicator Check reads its signals in the Strategy Tester the way they appeared live, computes the result after spread, commission and swap, and tells you plainly whether signals change after the fact. It sends no orders.

It reads the buffer on the first tick of a new candle and enters at that candle's open — the way you would really trade. No peeking into the future.
At the end of the test it reads the indicator again from history and compares the signals. If more than 5 % vanished or appeared after the fact, the report says so plainly and shows the result from history only alongside — never instead.
The spread is the median of the test's real ticks for each hour. Commission and broker markup are measured from your account history; swap comes from the symbol.
1,000 series of random entries with the same SL/TP geometry and the same costs. If random entries do about as well, the profit is within the range of chance.
A BUY buffer and a SELL buffer: a signal wherever the indicator drew an arrow.
One buffer: above zero = long, below zero = short; a signal when the sign changes (e.g. a histogram).
Two buffers: a signal when line X crosses line Y (e.g. two moving averages, or MACD and its signal line).

An indicator that draws only with objects (lines, rectangles) cannot be read — the report says so plainly.
They may refuse to work in the tester or inside another EA. That depends on the indicator's author.
The engine works on M1 candles with the hourly median spread. Around weekend gaps and macro data the real spread is often larger — the report shows the largest difference to the tick-by-tick run.
Even “edge visible” concerns one period and one instrument. Check another period and another instrument before you believe it.
The calculation core has a reference in Python: 3,097 test vectors, MQL5 result = Python with zero differences, and the EA's result in the tester = the reference on the same data in every control run. Four test indicators: a moving-average crossover (no repainting), ZigZag arrows (81 % repainting detected), random arrows (a false “edge” in 4 % of 200 trials) and a “peeker” that looks into the future: +109 R from history, 11 trades and −0.18 R live — the report shows both side by side.
No. The code has no function that sends orders. In the tester everything is virtual, and on a normal chart the EA only reads your account history.
No. Account history, measured costs and the report stay on your computer, in MetaTrader's files.
A normal backtest often reads the indicator from history — including signals that appeared after the fact — and without commission. Indicator Check reads it the way it looked at the moment of decision.
In the inputs field, separated by semicolons, e.g. 12;26;9;close. Decimal commas work too (2,5), text goes in quotes. An empty field = the indicator's defaults.
